Our battery storage solutions provide reliable, non-toxic and uninterrupted off-grid energy storage and management for the Taft Botanical Gardens at the Conservation Endowment Fund located in Ojai, California. Because of the modular and scalable power storage solutions, the 20.8 kWh system that was initially installed in 2013 could be increased in 2015 to 41.6 kWh to satisfy increasing electrical loads and expanding operations.

Clean power storage coupled with PV generation creates power security and resiliency.

Before image with outdated PHI 2.6 batteries

Before: In 2013, 8 PHI2.6kWh batteries provided 20.8 kWh of stored power.

After, batteries replaced and power output increased

After: In 2015 the battery bank was increased to 41.6 kWh.

The challenge was to design an off-grid hybrid power solution that would dramatically reduce generator use and fuel consumption, eliminate trenching transmission lines and utilize non-toxic, non-hazardous, heat-resistant and enduring energy storage. Our storage solutions easily met all of the requirements. Without energy storage, renewable sources of power are intermittent and unpredictable. Our technology creates power security and resilience by taking the intermittency out of any power generation source, including wind, solar, grid and fuel-based generators.
